Umakant Jayaram is an adjunct professor at the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship. He is currently serving as Director Public Interest at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). He also serves on the Investment Boards of the BSE Ryerson Technology Startup Incubator (BRTI) and on the Advisory Board of the DST – Nidhi Seed Support System (Nidhi-SSS) – an initiative of the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), and Department of Science & Technology. He is an IIT Bombay alumnus and a Certified Chartered Financial Analyst. He has over 25-years experience in global capital markets, corporate finance, Accounting & Risk Reporting analytics, and strategy. In the past he has set up and managed global centers of excellence for Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan and managed large scale global risk and trading books. . His own entrepreneurial experience has been in Healthcare information analytics directed at better clinical outcomes and financial performance of Hospital systems.
