Ramesh Mangaleswaran is a senior partner emeritus with McKinsey & Company, based in Chennai. In his almost 30 year career with the firm, he was a founding partner of McKinsey’s locations in Chennai & Bangalore, co-led the firm's Industrials Practice in India and Asia; and also its Social Responsibility activities in Asia.

He supported large companies in shaping strategy, building operational excellence, and strengthening their organizations. A key focus of his work was building leadership and talent, often through long-term partnerships with clients. He also led multiple projects to assess and help realize the full potential of India’s manufacturing and infrastructure sectors, in collaboration with leading industry associations; and co-authored several reports on global trends in sourcing manufactured goods from low-cost countries.

Beyond the firm, he actively contributes to non-profit organizations and institutions in the field of education. He is a member of the Governing Council at IIM Ahmedabad (his alma mater) and serves on several boards, including Pratham Education Foundation, IIM Ahmedabad Endowment Fund, IIT Bombay DRF and Nayanta Education Foundation.
