Lina Sonne Vyas is Associate Professor at the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bombay, teaching and researching on innovation and entrepreneurship for societal good.

Previously, she was Associate Professor at FLAME School of Business, FLAME University, Pune, and at Jindal School of Liberal Arts & Humanities at Jindal Global University in Sonipat, Haryana; set up and ran Inblick Innovation Advisory in Mumbai; built a research and consulting portfolio on innovation and entrepreneurship for social impact at Okapi Research & Advisory, Mumbai; co-led research at Intellecap, Mumbai; and was Assistant Professor at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. Before moving to India, Lina was a researcher on innovation and technology policy with UNU-MERIT, the Netherlands.

Lina holds a PhD in Economics of Innovation from UNU-MERIT and Maastricht University, Netherlands; an MSc in Business Economics from City, University of London; and a PG Diploma in Modern & Contemporary Indian Art History from the Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Mumbai.

Her primary areas of interest include inclusive innovation and social entrepreneurship; entrepreneurial ecosystems and innovation systems; and technology, digitisation, gender and society; and entrepreneurship in the creative industries in India.

She has led cross-sectoral projects in multiple South Asian countries and have worked with partners across private, academic, non-profit and public sectors in India and abroad, and has been based in India since 2013.
