Biography

Anu Narasimhan is Professor-of-Practice and Head of the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE) at IIT Bombay. She joined her alma-mater after 24 years of corporate experience as a Strategy and Marketing professional. She worked with Titan Industries part of the Tata group, Hutchison Telecom, Unilever and Britannia. In her current academic role, Anu teaches the popular course ‘Introduction to Entrepreneurship’, leads pre-incubation programs (IDEAS and Women in Entrepreneurship) as well as outreach programs and partnerships. She serves on the Boards of Africa Improved Foods Rwanda, Frontier Nutrition Bangladesh and Inficold Solar Cold Storage India. Anu has won marketing awards like the Effies and a prestigious Cannes one. She has been featured as a leading woman professional in corporate India. She was awarded the Distinguished Service Alum award in 2016 by IITB and felicitated as one of IITB’s Gen Zero women in 2022. She received her education at IIT Bombay and IIM Bangalore, and recently her Doctorate from Singapore Management University. She counts as her notable contributions mentoring entrepreneurs, women leaders, and brand custodians. She is happiest meeting people, solving problems, and volunteering for causes.
